Multi-Touch Solutions
← Back to PortfolioIn 2008, Tecgraf’s Visualisation and Reservoirs group, which I worked for, started to offer Multi-Touch solutions to our clients. We worked mainly with Perceptive Pixel and UTouch commercial displays. At that time, another Tecgraf group called Augmented Reality and Digital Interactivity started to create our own Multi-Touch hardware.
Using these different displays, we created specific software solutions for our client’s TV shows. Highlight include:
- Beijing 2008 Olympic Games (All day news – Globo TV)
- “Placar da Rodada” (Soccer games highlights – Globo TV)
- “Detetive Virtual” (Curiosities from the Internet – Fantástico/Globo TV)
- Brazilian Election 2008 (All day news – Globo TV)
- Brazilian Soccer Championship 2009 (Main news show – Fantástico/Globo TV)
For each solution, we had to develop completely new software using just a base framework developed to deal with the different displays.
Role Information:
I worked in Multi-Touch Solutions from 2008 to the end of 2009 as Lead Software Engineer, where my main responsibilities were to project and develop each software, manage a small team, and deal with the client.
The main technologies involved were: C++, Lua, OpenGL, Iup, Matrox Hardware, the Utouch and Perceptive Pixel display.
